On working and not working
Congratulations on a year—no small feat.
A note on our mirror says, “Beware the barrenness of a busy day.”
Busy and workaholism (for me) were avoidance techniques that told me I mattered. I still sometimes chase the siren’s song so I cannot judge.
Hard work and mental health exist in tension. I usually find the “balance” coming and going; it is not static.
I love that quote! Saving that for myself. Thanks for sharing, Sam.
